Glitz Interview with Mac’s Marco Louis on Carolina Herrara Show

  1. How would you describe the looks on the runway?

The look was very modern; it featured very clean skin. The key feature for the look was the black eyeliner which we used Modern Twist Kajal liner to create a 70’s punk really dark liner which surrounds the eye completely.

  1. Did the collection influence the makeup looks?

The collection definitely influenced the looks. The silhouettes, colours and fabrics they used perfectly fits. You see the model as edgy and really well dressed and beautifully kept but she has some sort of naughtiness about her.

  1. Who is the target audience for the looks?

I’d say everybody. Most women are able to pull off the very great liner. The key is the liner is the sole feature so the skin was perfected and conditioned so there are no discolour; nothing folding out on the brows and so she (model) stood out as the star of the show.

  1. When are the looks suitable to wear?

I’d say every day as well. Most women prefer to make up at night because it’s a very intense liner but if you were to tone it down a bit, and just do the inner and top water liner, it would be perfect for both day and night.

  1. What occasions would they be perfect to wear?

It’s absolutely line for any occasion as it is a very simple liner. Definitely good for a night out or a party which just screams you’re there and ready to have some fun.

  1. How can one translate the runway look to an everyday look?

It’s super simple. The liner is a little edgy but if you tone it down a little bit and create a smaller line, it would be perfect for every day.

  1. What are your expectations during and after the show?

Our expectations during the show is that our customers and viewers are going to translate this into an everyday way of life. A common thread throughout fashion week is that, they are super wearable everyday and easy to achieve by yourself as well.

  1. Are the products used backstage suitable for an everyday look?

One of the key products we used was Blacktrack fluidline which is available in Kenya. The fluidline sits to perfectly mat and stays for about 14 hours so it’s the perfect product to create an edgy line that would stay all day.
