2020 Critics’ Choice Awards winners list

The 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards were handed out last night inside the Barker Hangar, California. Among the night top winners in film were Joaquin Phoenix for best actor ‘Joker’, Renee Zellweger for best actress ‘Judy’, Brad Pitt for best supporting actor ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ and Laura Dern for best supporting actress ‘Marriage Story’.

Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ scored him the best original screenplay honor as well as best picture. Greta Gerwig’s ‘Little Women’ won for best adapted screenplay, while ‘The Irishman’ won for best ensemble. The best director category ended in a tie for Bong Joon Ho (Parasite) and Sam Mendes (1917).

The television side also had ‘Fleabag’ winning best comedy series and ‘Succession’ winning best drama series. Roman Griffin Davis was the best young actor winner of the night for his performance in ‘Jojo Rabbit’.

In between the voted categories award presentations, ‘Dolemite is my Name’ star Eddy Murphy was presented with the Critics’ Choice Lifetime Achievement Award, while ‘Good Place’ star Kristen Bell was honored with the #SeeHer award.
