The success story behind Lynx Entertainment – Richie Mensah discloses

Filling the music industry with artists that do not make one-day hit songs, but single tracks and albums worthy enough to last the air plays for generations to come, CEO of Lynx Entertainment Richie Mensah, who doubles as the shepherd of the many award-winning artists who have passed through his hands such as; Eazzy, Asem, Ziggy and the now turned man of the gospel OJ Blaq, together with the three new sensations in the music front KiDi, Kuami Eugene and Mzvee, still signed to the label. Richie certainly has a way he goes about his dealings and management of these artists to have been able to turn them into celebrated icons of our time.

In an interview with Showbiz on Sunday to find out the secret behind his success with these artists and the Lynx Entertainment at large, he shared for starters the deeper meaning of entertainment. He said,” Entertainment is mistaken to be just arts but it is actually a combination of arts and science. There are certain things you need to do to succeed and that is exactly what we at Lynx Entertainment do.”

Just as every label or company set out long-term goals and plans ahead of future projects, Lynx Entertainment also shares in the common feature, “We sit and plan. We draw a five-year plan, narrow it down to a one-year plan and then set monthly targets which we work hard to meet. We really plan and that works for us,” Richie added.

Asked how he feels about succeeding at the end of the day, Richie disclosed it is the best feeling in the world, “The best feeling in the world is to know that you tried something and you succeeded at it. It is the best feeling in the world.”

With heavy waves the currently signed artists are buzzing for the label, Richie was asked whether the label is going to sign more artists anytime soon or they just holding on with the three. He said, “You never say never but for now we are holding on to the three.”

The record producer shared a word of advice to the young ones, especially those with dreams of becoming musicians someday, “I know a lot of people think their dreams can’t come true, but I would like them to know that a dream with a plan becomes a goal. Work towards your dreams and you will achieve them.”

Richie, together with his label and signed artists are gearing up for their upcoming December ‘Wave Concert” and that of the release of Kuami Eugene’s album on December 15.
