Celebrated stars in music stepped out last night for the MTV Video Music Awards 2019. The event held inside the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, ended with two wins for Taylor Swift for video of the year and video for good (You Need to Calm Down).
Ariana Grande, who was not present nabbed the Artiste of the Year category against Cardi B, Shawn Mendes and the Jonas Brothers, who all won an award in other categories they were nominated for. Missy Elliot was honored with the Video Vanguard Award and Marc Jacobs was also honored with the Inaugural Fashion Trailblazer Award.
Audience were treated to spectacular performances from Swift, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Jonas Brothers, Camilla Cabello, Shawn Mendes and more. Sebastian Maniscalco hosted the star-studded event.
