Mariam Owusu-Poku crowned Miss Malaika 2018

A new queen of the Miss Malaika Ghana race has been born!

The grande finale of the 2018 Miss Malaika pageant was held at the National Theatre on Saturday, November 3. On stage of the night saw 10 delegates battle it out in a series of catwalks, talent competitions, speech deliveries followed by questions put before them by the judges of the night, all in the quest of crowning a new queen.

At the end of it all, delegate 7 Mariam Owusu-Poku, who is a student of the University of Ghana studying Business Administration won the coveted Miss Malaika 2018 title and crown. Aside the crown, Mariam was awarded a brand-new car and a cash prize. Placing second and third were Rosetta and Evelyn respectively.

The competition was hosted by Berla Mundi and judged by celebrated Ghanaian actors, Jackie Appiah, Joselyn Dumas, James Gardiner, Naa Ashorkor and radio personality Lexis Bill.

KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Mzvee and Wendy Shay also entertained audience with musical performances to crown the night.
