Glitz Africa partners with Urban Genius Alan Floyd on Unity Umoja One Love Africa Campaign

Ghana’s premium lifestyle brand, Glitz Africa is partnering with American Urban Genius, Alan Floyd on the Unity Umoja One Love Africa Campaign; a passion project aimed at building bridges across the African diaspora through music, encouraging more transatlantic collaborations, creating revenue streams and monetization opportunities for undiscovered talents.

The overall objective of the Unity (Umoja) Initiative is to help promote individual music styles from across the African diaspora and shed light on unique music and talents that seldom get an opportunity to shine.

The Unity (Umoja) Initiative offers the opportunity to artists to record a localized version of the Unity (Umoja) song; thus, transforming the original tune into a version that has rhythms and flavors specific to their country, city or region of origin.

The Unity initiative has an audience of about 1.2 billion continental Africans and 500 million in the Diaspora across genders, age groups, interests, social media presence among others.

CEO of Glitz Africa, Claudia Lumor comes on board as the Strategic Head of the Project/ambassador for Ghana- who embodies what Umoja is about, promoting the cultures, and uniqueness of African culture and especially Ghanaian culture, doing art that improve the global perception of what Africa stands for as well as create a continuum among nations in the African continent and its diaspora.

“I’m excited to be part of this project – one that seeks to unite Africans living on the continent as well as the diaspora through music as well as promote our rich collective culture. Ghana is filled with lots of bright creative minds and I can’t wait to see what we come up with the Unity Umoja initiative,” Claudia said.

“I am happy to partner with Glitz Africa in Ghana to further spread help spread love and unity – the message of Umoja – throughout Africa and the diaspora. Their work to shine a light on the beauty of Africa is remarkable,” Alan Floyd said in an Instagram Live interview with Claudia Lumor on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

Claudia Lumor and Glitz Africa will be responsible for reaching out to the key target audience, creatives to join the collective as well as to promote the content – video/music/ lifestyle stemming from the collective.
