Nominees’ list for the 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards has been released, and ‘God is a Woman’ singer Ariana Grande is leading the pack with seven nominations including best artist, best video (
thank you, next) and best song (7 rings).
Other top scorers for the November 3 slated event, include the likes of Shawn Mendes, Lil Nas X and Billie Eilish all up with 6 nods each. Third to the most nominated artiste for the night is Latin American singer J Balvin, following with 5 nominations total nominations, whiles both Lizzo and Taylor Swift received 4 nominations in all.
Rounding up the category for best song, Grande’s ‘7 Rings’ is up against Shawn collaborated song with Camila Cabello ‘Senorita’ alongside Eilish’s ‘bad guy’, Lil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road (Remix) and Post Malone and Swae Lee’s ‘Sunflower’. The Best New Artiste lineup is heavily contested by newcomers Eilish, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Ava Max, Lewis Capaldi and Mabel.
Taking place in Seville, Spain, the 2019 MTV EMA’s will air live on MTV in nearly 180 countries, with its red carpet sponsored by the developing ‘Charlie’s Angels’ film.
