Instagram to track accounts of fake followers and likes

Paid for likes and followers on Instagram culprits should brace themselves up, as Instagram is taking a step further to ban accounts suspected to be at fault.

In the quest to ensure the safety of their users and also uphold the platforms reputation in terms of genuineness, Instagram shared on their website their newest mission to be embarked on, saying, “Recently, we’ve seen accounts use third-party apps to artificially grow their audience. People come to Instagram to have real experiences, including genuine interactions. It is our responsibility to ensure these experiences aren’t disrupted by inauthentic activity.”

Suspected accounts will be tracked down by the help of newly acquired learning tools developed to help  the identities of suspect users. It will begin by removing inauthentic likes, follows and comments from accounts believed to be employing third-party services to boost popularity and follower counts. The newly developed effect will only experiment on new posts yet-to-be made and not old ones already booming with fake likes and comments.

Date of commencement is not disclosed, but don’t be surprised as a culprit to notice your likes decrease and followers remain stagnant in few weeks to come.
