Russian supermodel Irina Shayk, has partnered with Tod’s for the recreation of their iconic D bag. The new redesigned set of D bag’s comprising the brand’s spring/summer 2019 collection features an array of colors, ranging from orange to yellow and brown, as well as patterns in handcrafted leathers.
Knowing the essential part that a bag plays in a woman’s daily routine, it was only right for the label to partner with a well-defined feminine, who not only strike as a perfect figure on billboards and magazines, but also counts her bag as No.1 and have a fair knowledge on the fancies of a contemporary woman in fashion. Irina disclosed, “My life is in my bag. Sunglasses, a little candy- a splash of sugar to get you over the jetlag is the best way to fight it off! A charger a little mirror on the back of your cell phone case so you can check how you look.”
The Tod’s D bag has kept on its fanbase list some of Hollywood’s favorite stars of all time, namely; Julianne Moore, Cindy Crawford and Reese Witherspoon. The cause of a lifetime interest in a Tod’s D bag can only be blamed on its well-crafted curves (inspired by the wings of a butterfly) and most importantly, its ‘trusted timelessness’ as Irina describes it. She said, “The first thing I’ve always associated Tod’s with is a trusted timelessness. The D-Styling bag is a definite favorite and has made itself at home among my daily essential pieces.”
The sixth redesign of the D bag, launches today, March 22.
