Terry Matalas’ ‘Last American Vampire’ moves from NBC to Quibi

Terry Matalas developing project ‘Last American Vampire’ has aligned its production services and streaming rights to upcoming short form service Quibi.

Quibi, which is still in the making to launch with straight-up movie and television contents for its subscribers, has already lured projects with some of Hollywood A-listers Kevin Hart, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Lopez, Anna Kendrick, Guillermo del Toro, Tyra Banks and Darren Criss.

Matalas ‘Last American Vampire’ tells the story of a young female FBI agent who is partnered with a wealthy, 500-year-old vampire bon vivant to protect the world from a dangerous threat. The project was initially set for release at NBC last year, but the broadcast network with no disclosed reasons has shopped it over to Quibi.

Matalas will pen down the script, whiles executive producing alongside David Katzenberg, Seth Grahame-Smith and Aaron Schmidt.
