The mighty cast of ‘Suicide Squad’, which stars People Magazine’s 2018 Sexiest Man, Idris Elba and ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ actress Margot Robbie, has Disney approved star Storm Reid. She will play daughter to Elba in the developing sequel.
Returning to star in the sequel’s production are Academy award winning actress Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman and Jai Courtney. The returnees will play alongside newcomers John Cena and David Dastmalchian. Initial release of the film in 2016, which was based on the DC Comics anti-heroes took over theaters grossing up $746.8 million worldwide as fans enjoyed every bit of the film.
Plot details are kept under wraps with productions eyed for a September start. Peter Safran and Charles Roven are producing the sequel whiles ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ writer James Gunn is writing the script of the project and directing.
Reid became a Hollywood actress mention after starring alongside Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon in the Disney Ava DuVernay directed film ‘A Wrinkle in Time’. Her buildup to fame increased when she nabbed another role in DuVernay’s Netflix docudrama ‘When They See Us’ and currently appears in HBO teen drama ‘Euphoria’.
