In eight different categories, the 40th Brit Awards held last night increased the musical achievement of some lucky acts that won a Brit.
Lewis Capaldi was the big winner of the night taking home best new artist and song of the year. Stormzy accrued a new title as male solo artist of the year, beating Harry Styles, Dave, Capaldi and Michael Kiwanuka. The Brit solo female artist went to Mabel, while the best group trophy went to Foals.
At the international female solo artist category where Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey were competing, Eilish emerged the sole winner of the prize and in her winning speech thanked her fellow nominees and the entire audience that put on a smiling face during her performance.
Tyler The Creator won for international male solo artist, whiles the rising star award went to Celest. The ceremony was hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall.
