Winners of MTV Movie & TV Awards 2019

The MTV Movie & TV Awards celebrated the best on-screen work of the past year on Monday night.

Netflix had 14 nominations for its TV shows and films, including “Bird Box” and “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,” both of which won awards — Noah Centineo & Lana Condor for “Best Kiss” and Sandra Bullock for “Most Frightened Performance.”

It was a who’s who of Hollywood celebrities — stars like Aubrey Plaza, Daniel Levy, Dave Bautista, David Spade, Elisabeth Moss, Jameela Jamil, Kiernan Shipka, Kumail Nanjiani, Maude Apatow, Melissa McCarthy, Mj Rodriguez, Shameik Moore, Storm Reid and Tiffany Haddish were all there.

“Shazam” star Zachary Levi hosted the show. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was awarded the Generation Award, and Jada Pinkett Smith was honored with the Trailblazer Award.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg received nominations for best real-life hero, and was also nominated in the best documentary category, as well as most meme-able moment, and best fight, for the legal effort portrayed in the documentary “RBG.” produced by CNN Films. She won for Best real-life hero.
