The endless accolades and bagging award trophies of the All Over hit maker, Tiwa Savage continues to extend beyond the African continent. Last night at the MTV Europe Music Awards held at the Bizikaia Arena-Bilbao in Spain, Tiwa was awarded the Best African Act of the year beating Fally Ipupa, Davido, Shekhinah, Nyashinski and Distribution Boyz.

Her MTV African Act award follows the countless titles Tiwa has snatched for herself through hard work, since her breakout in the music industry. She not only went there to win, but also slay in an off-shouldered mini-dress and a permed haircut.

Other lucky winners of the night include, Camilla Cabello, who won best artist, best song and best video for Havana and best US act. Show opener Nicki Minaj, also won the best hip hop award. Cardi B won for best new artist, whiles Shawn Mendes took home the best live artist.  Janet Jackson was also awarded with the Global Icon honorary award. The show was hosted by Hailee Steinfeld.
