South African Singer Serati Releases EP Album “Rapture”

RAPTURE /ˈraptʃə/ a feeling of intense pleasure or joy. This is what you should expect after listening to Serati’s first EP release.

Serati is a young and upcoming singer, songwriter, guitar player, model and a blogger. She hails from Alexandra Township in Jo’burgh, SA. Rapture is a short collection of Serati’s musical styles that blend African sounds with folk and soul melodies. Released after one month from her debut original single, “Why do you tempt me?”, this EP project aims at putting Serati on the map of African artists to watch.

The EP album was produced during Serati’s trip to Tanzania in the second half of 2017 and has credits from the kind of B’Hitz, C9 Kanjenje, Willie HD and Innocent Mujwahuki. The distribution for this album will be provided by Africori.

One of the main insight for this project is the extraordinary vocal ability of Serati who has recorded most of the songs of the EP with just one take. This is also due to the intensive voice training that Serati has undergone with Tanzanian leading coach Joett.

An EP launch event has been organized to celebrate Serati and her music and it will be hosted on Friday 16th March, by Ram Jam at the SABC Studios (Studio V1A – Radio Park) in Auckland Park, Johannesburg. The event will feature also a live performance by Serati.
