Sarkodie wins big at 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards

The king of rap music in Ghana and arguably Africa, Sarkodie has done it again for the continent by emerging as the first winner of BET’s Best International Flow Act 2019.

Nominated alongside Nigerian rapper Falz the Bad Guy, Ghetts from the United Kingdom, Kalash from France, Little Simz from the UK, Nasty C from South Africa and Tory Lanez from Canada, Sarkodie took to the podium after he was announced winner and dedicated the award to his only Adalyn Owusu Addo (Titi), whiles urging audience present to take time and visit Ghana to witness the ongoing ‘Year of Return’ celebration.

“I just want to thank you to the Almighty God. To family this one is for my lil girl Titi. I think Africa has always had it and it is about time. This year is the Year of Return and I will urge each and every one of you here to take a trip back home,” said Sarkodie.

The joyful news, which swept the entire nation of its feet over the weekend adds up to Sarkodie’s remarkable achievements that have put Ghana on international platforms. He holds on record in addition to the newly bagged BET award as the first Ghanaian to win the BET best international act in 2012 and the most nominated artiste in Ghana at the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
