When the season of Halloween comes, every star in Hollywood turn into a different character, either a favorite character in a movie or a favorite icon in music. A-list stars such as the Kim Kardashian, Harry Styles, Naomi Campbell, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and to mention a few may pull off their best looks at the onset, but when the queen of pop music, Beyoncé steps in, it becomes a different thing altogether.
Every year and who she pays homage to in past years, the pop star has made a Halloween costume collabo with husband Jay-Z and as expected always she gets a special shoutouts from it. A queen in all respects, she never fails to honor past queens, who came before her in the 90s. This year, however, is not a detour from the usual Beyoncé Halloween costume ensemble, but it is about how she does it and who she does it for.
In a pixie wig, jeans and leather jacket, Beyoncé recreated the cover art for Toni Braxton’s debut album released in 1993, more than 20 years old, but the style she sports on the cover remains fresh. Beyoncé’s updated version doesn’t diverge from the original and yet she manages to look fly in the Beyoncé way. Her hair is the modern down cut from the original, her facial expression can easily be mistaken as a twin sister cover up.
Toni Braxton took to Instagram to show her amazement and surprise at the Beyoncé replica of her album cover, she wrote “Phoni Braxton!? NEVER!!! How do you look better than me on MY album cover? I LOVE IT, Such a superstar! Thanks for the love sis! Happy Halloween ? Who run the world….GIRLS! GIRLS! ??”.
She surely does run the world!
