2020 Grammy awards winners’ list

The record book of Grammy award winners got updated last night inside the Staples Center, Los Angeles. Hosted by Alicia Keys, top categories of the evening were swept away by Billie Eilish; she took home awards for album of the year, song of the year, record of the year, best new artist and the best pop vocal album.

At the end of the night, ‘Jerome’ singer Lizzo took home three honors in the categories of best pop solo performance, best traditional R&B performance and best urban contemporary album. Lil Nas X, Tanya Tucker, Vampire Weekend, Anderson .Peak and PJ Morton were among the lucky winners of the night alongside former first lady of the United States of America, Michelle Obama who won her very first Grammy award for best Spoken Word Album ‘Becoming’.

Late Nipsey Hussle won two awards posthumously for best rap performance ‘Racks in The Middle’ and best rap/sung performance for ‘Higher’ which he was featured by DJ Khaled.  A special tribute performance was paid to late NBA player Kobe Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash early Sunday morning.
